Neem is one of the most powerful, potent blood purifiers and detoxifiers in Ayurveda. It cools fever and clears most inflammatory skin diseases. In cases of Malaria or periodic fevers it is used with black pepper and gentian.
When it is made into a medicated Oil for external use, it relives joint pains and acts as an anti-inflammatory agent.
Neem Oil is usually nothing but neem extracts in seasme oil. This is the most common way it is prepared for external use. Such Oil can be applied directly onto the skin. It is also very effective in healing acne and pmples naturally to attain clear skin.
How to use Neem Oil?
Pure neem extract should not be used externally as it is too strong. If you apply neem oil or paste and it itches too much then that means it is too strong and needs to be diluted with water or Oil. Use seasme Oil to dilute or you may also use drinking water.
Neem can also be administered orally but you shouldn’t take it without the advice of an Ayurvedic doctor. Neem is prepared differently for external and internal administration. The ways mention here are for external usage.
